About Rainbow Pottery

Welcome to Rainbow Pottery, a warm and inviting studio where creativity comes to life. Located at 28 Station Road in Horley, formerly the home of Bluebell Studio, our space is designed to inspire artists of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the first time, you’ll find a relaxing atmosphere to create your next masterpiece.

Our Story

Rainbow Pottery is a family-owned business born out of the challenges of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We took over the space previously known as Bluebell Studio and transformed it into a vibrant, community-centered creative hub.

The name “Rainbow” holds deep meaning for us. It symbolizes hope, unity, and resilience during difficult times. Rainbows became a global emblem of togetherness during the pandemic, and they perfectly reflect the joy, creativity, and spectrum of colors you’ll find at our studio.

At Rainbow Pottery, we believe that art has the power to bring people closer. Whether you're painting with family, celebrating with friends, or simply enjoying some "me time," our studio is here to make every moment special.

Our mission

At Rainbow Pottery, our mission is simple: to share our love for painting and creativity with our community. We strive to provide a fun and inspiring environment where everyone can explore their artistic side.

We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting products to add to our collection, and we love testing them out ourselves. From creating timeless baby prints to crafting unique gifts for loved ones—or yourself—there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

Pottery Painting - How It Works

Creating your own masterpiece at Rainbow Pottery is easy, fun, and perfect for all ages. Whether you’re visiting us for a family day out, a special occasion, or just a bit of creative relaxation, our simple four-step process ensures you’ll leave with a unique and beautifully finished piece to treasure. Here’s how it works:

  1. Step 1:

    Choose Your Piece

To book a table, there is a £5 studio fee per painter, payable when booking. This covers your table reservation, use of paints, glazing, and kiln firing.

On the day of your visit, you’ll choose and pay separately for your bisque pottery item. Prices vary depending on the piece selected, with options including mugs, plates, animals, vases, plaques, money boxes, and more.

  2. Step 2:

    Design and Paint

Unleash your creativity using our child-safe, non-toxic paints. We provide a variety of brushes, sponges, and other tools to help you bring your vision to life.

Don’t worry if you’re a beginner—our friendly team is always here to assist and inspire. Feel free to bring your own design ideas, or simply let your imagination run wild!

  3. Step 3:

    Glazing and Firing

Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, leave it with us for glazing and firing in our on-site kiln.

This process enhances the durability, gloss, and vibrancy of your creation, making it a truly unique, long-lasting keepsake. The firing typically takes around 2 weeks, so your piece will be ready in no time!

  4. Step 4:

    Collect Your Creation

Your finished pottery piece will be ready for collection within two weeks. When it’s ready, pop back into the studio to pick up your unique work of art.

Please note: If you are coming to collect your pottery, we recommend calling, texting, or emailing us beforehand in case we are closed.

We look forward to welcoming you to Rainbow Pottery and helping you create a beautiful, personalized piece of pottery that you'll treasure forever!
